VIDEO: Barefoot Contessa Visits The Today Show

What a day – I originally took the day off as I have plans to meet the one and only Ina Garten aka Barefoot Contessa early this afternoon at my second home, Williams-Sonoma in the King of Prussia mall.  With that being said, I figured it would be a chill morning with my favorite pug while I worked on a few things for Cooking In Stilettos.  While getting ready to take the Sous Pug Wiggy out for coffee (he likes car rides, I need coffee – it’s a win – win – right?), I saw that the Barefoot Contessa was slated to appear this morning on the Today Show.  Well, let me tell you – if I wasn’t jazzed to check out her new book, I am already making mental bookmarks of recipes to try asap.  Not only did she provide a super quick recipe for homemade ricotta, but also had some killer recipes that you must check out.  Here’s a link to the recipes that she demo’d this morning during her segment with Meredith Viera  – I mean “How Easy Is That?”

Take a moment to check out the video and, if you can, make sure to pick up your copy of Barefoot Contessa -  How Easy Is That?: Fabulous Recipes & Easy Tips VIDEO: Barefoot Contessa Visits The Today Show available today.

I love that woman! Great television segment too. I’ll look out for any book signings she will be doing in L.A. Thanks for the heads up.

    Lys, oh Lys, oh Lys,

I can’t believe I missed this. I love that you included the video of Ina’s appearance, but a lot of times they cut off bits and pieces of the segments, so if I’ve recorded it, that’s always better. I had JUST deleted 3 days worth of the Today Show, when I saw your post, but I had no idea which day you were talking about, because there was no date. Luckily I was able to recover all the shows and scroll through them. But why oh why don’t you put dates on your posts? I like to know exactly at what moment you’re telling me things.(Sorry if I sound like a stalker.) Have an incredible time this afternoon. I can’t wait to see the pictures.

RE: the date — oh the bane of my existence. The format of this theme did not include the date and, sadly, time is crazed right now with work and other commitments to allow for me to do a full revamp of the site. However, I’m thinking perhaps around Jan. or so?

And no — you don’t sound like a stalker at all :) You were missed yesterday!

Greetings :D Is it okay that I go a bit off topic? I’m trying to view your site on my iPhone but it doesn’t display properly, any suggestions? Thanks! Jerrica x :)

Actually, to be honest, it’s configured for iPhone functionality. We do have a free app. to help with that — check to the left hand side :)

I read you in full– sized gloriousness on my (wide-screened) computer, so I guess I’m out of luck. Happily, most of time your writing is eternal…

Sue — that reply was meant for a possible spam commentor — not you :)
