Amy Atlas To Bring Sweet Designs To Williams Sonoma

Sweet Designs by Amy Atlas

In addition to cooking, entertaining is another passion of mine and I'm always looking for a bit of inspiration when I am entertaining in stilettos.  When I heard Williams Sonoma was hosting a book signing for "The Sweets Stylist" Amy Atlas' new book, Sweet Designs: Bake It, Craft It, Style It, I immediately placed it on my calendar. See, Amy Atlas is a gal after my own heart – a legal eagle who can cook and entertain like a rockstar. Her book is gorgeous (like that was any surprise – have … [Read more...]

Channel the Luck of the Irish with Moe’s Baileys Irish Cream Puffs

Let me tell you about Moe, one of my mother's BFFs from college.  My mom went to college when I was in junior high and I remember many a day visiting the campus, watching the big screen tv while my mom was in class (which was forever tuned to MTV during the days of Madonna, Loverboy, Michael Jackson's Thriller, etc.), wandering through the school bookstore and having "lunch with the girls" which almost always included her friend Maureen aka Moe. Moe was always the epitome of chic. She … [Read more...]

Obsessed With: Colin Cowie Flavor Infusing Pitcher

CCFlavorInfusingPitcher.jpg

I can’t stress enough how great Colin Cowie’s products are.  The “international arbitrar of style” strikes again with this Flavor Infusing Glass Pitcher for the Spring/Summer on HSN.com.  He gave one great idea of infusing your vodkas, rums and tequilas with fresh fruits, spices, herbs and hibiscus flowers.  Needless to say, this was ordered quickly.  I have some Meyer lemons that need to infuse in some vodka ;) What would you infuse your cocktails with?   … [Read more...]

Colin Cowie’s New Summer Line for HSN…

Spice Collection

Colin Cowie debuted his Spring/Summer line for HSN today and, I have to confess, I spent quite a bit of time with my jaw to the floor going over the products. Some of the products, I had heard about in advance but my poor wallet is screaming at me.   Thankfully I was able to get cash back from Mr. Rebates but still... eeeks!  I did, however, control myself with a couple purchases I'm still thinking about. When it comes to entertaining, I swear by his products.  I've found that they are … [Read more...]

Spicin’ Up Your Sangria…

Flor

Cinco de Mayois just around the corner and, like before, I'm still on the fence of "Do I or Don't I" get a sangria pitcher.  When it comes to cocktails, a well made sangria is in my top 5.  However, I think when I make it, I'd like to add a little "Za Za Zu" to the presentation. Luckily, La Tienda is having a sale on their sangria pitchers but there are so many to choose from.   Colorful 'Flor' Design...    or   Glass Sangria Set... or   Terra Cotta … [Read more...]

FoodBuzz 24, 24, 24: A Very Cranberry Soiree…

Ringing in the New Year last night, I decided to keep it safe, simple and, most of all, fun. I often joke that Central Florida is full of transplants - many of us are here sans family and find that we make our own family through our friends. Not to mention, they say who you spend your New Years Eve with sets the tone for the year ahead. Who better to spend it with but my friends.I was honored to be selected by FoodBuzz to participate in their 24, 24, 24 New Year's Eve Event - 24 meals, 24 Hours, … [Read more...]
