I put a question out to some of my favorite bloggers asking what would be THEIR picks for *the* perfect gift that they’d love to find under the tree and, let me tell you – I got some amazing responses.

Ok – the holidays are fast approaching (T minus 6 days and counting for Christmas for this gal) and I’m in a panic – what to cook? What to do? What shopping is left? I haven’t even started perusing the blog to see what’s on the menu (I know I know – I should have thought of this already *sigh*) and I’m in a bit of a quandry. Somehow I don’t think I’m alone in this plight but I digress.
So, I’m looking to you, dear readers, for a bit of culinary inspiration.
Post your favorite recipe post/link in the comments for everyone to enjoy!
Day 7 of the 12 Days of Giftmas continues with the second edition of All Things Cookbooks. 2011 was a great year for cookbook releases and here are a few more that I think are perfect for giving and receiving.
Day 6 of the 12 Days of Christmas continues with one of my absolute favorites – Shiny Copper Things. Yes, I know I am OBSESSED with all things copper but it looks so gorgeous in a kitchen. My dear friend SL has so much copper in his kitchen that whenever I visit Orlando, I feel a twinge of envy as I look upon his many copper pots and molds that adorn the kitchen walls. One of these days, I’m going to have to beg him to shoot pictures of what he has done with his space.
So, without further adieu, let’s look at some gorgeous copper for the kitchen, shall we?

I attempted to give Chestnut stuffing a try over the holiday and, guess what, Giada had a recipe for Ciabatta Chestnut Stuffing that rocked! It’s a stuffing that even my Bampa would thoroughly enjoy. Giada’s recipe called for pancetta but I wound up using some bacon I had in the fridge. Also, as I didn’t have a 15 x 10 x 2 dish, I used two of my Le Creuset bakers. Coupled that with some great ciabatta from Whole Paychex, roasted chestnuts from Williams Sonoma and some turkey stock – it was a dish that was not only great with dinner, but better the next day. Chestnut stuffing will become a family tradition, once again.
Remember that episode of The Cosby Show where Bill Cosby caught grief for his love of kitchen gadgets? I tend to have the same issue – between waffle irons, Panini presses, blenders, mixers, etc., this household has its share of kitchen toys. I draw the line at the electric ebelskiver maker. Here a few electronic kitchen toys that are some great gift ideas for the culinary aficionado.
