Cooking ‘Round The Web – Week Ending Nov. 14th

As you can see, Cooking In Stilettos is going through a bit of “redecorating” so bear with us as we freshen up the place – good things in store, my friends – good things!

First, have you entered One Curly Fry In A Box Of The Regular’s Giveaway  for a signed Nigella Kitchen cookbook from the one and only Nigella Lawson? Hurry up and get your entries in – contest closes soon!

Jewels from the Roving Stove has taken the worry out of thanksgiving with her “Thanksgiving Plan of Action.” Some seriously good tips and, an added bonus, a killer recipe for Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream. Love!

Single Serving’s Manouschka gave the scoop on a recent trip to Canada where she was the guest judge for Anna & Kristina’s Grocery Bag.   Recipes from Bethanny Frankel’s “Skinny Dish” were presented for judging.  Check out the video to see what happens and if Bethanny’s recipes made the cut!

Michael Ruhlman showcased some Sweet Potato Chips that had me seriously debating whether or not to break out the dutch oven and oil. Definitely would like to try to make them rather than buy them (and, of course, break in the new mandoline)

Jenn from the Leftover Queen showcases a luscious Maple Crème Caramel

Wall Street Journal has an interesting viewpoint discussing Fashion and Food: The New Food Groupies

Leslie from And Her Little Dog Too gave a fab recap of the Bakerella event at  King of Prussia’s Williams-Sonoma

Tasha over at The Housewife Diaries showcases a Philly Fall Season and questions the “Tomato Pie”

Susan over at Sticky Gooey Creamy Chewy has a fab recipe for Brutti ma Buoni cookies that will be included in my holiday cookie swaps. Don’t they look scrumptious?

Candice Kumai, the Stiletto Chef has a Pumpkin & Chocolate “droolfest” going on with her pumpkin chocolate chip bread.  This recipe is on the plan for this week and would be perfect for holiday gift giving.  Channel your inner Colin Cowie and give this as a fabulous hostess gift (or keep it for yourself, I won’t tell!)

And, finally, Eat Real has a fabulous recipe for Indian Pudding with Cinnamon Cream that is begging to be made this holiday season.
