Heading Back To OTown For Food Blog Forum

I have to say, since moving to Philadelphia a few years ago, my travel wings have been somewhat clipped.  Now – I do jaunt to NYC every so often but there’s something about hopping a plane and heading south in the winter.  Now – Philly hasn’t had much of a winter and our weather has been pretty much on par with Orlando for the past couple of weeks but I’m not whining.  Last year was pretty horrid with all that happened with the Sous Pug after I returned from South Beach Food & Wine and my traveling pretty much was cut after he got so sick.

When Food Blog Forum posted that they were doing a Food Blog Forum Orlando – I knew I had to seize the day and register.  After all, attending a food blog conference was one of my 2012 Culinary Goals.  Where else can I learn so much from such amazing bloggers and writers that I have long admired, finally get to see Disney, get some inspiration for a new project I’m working on and spend time with dear friends.  My father has volunteered to “pugsit” (he swears it’s going to be Wiggy Boot Camp ~ both Meowmix and I think he’s going to spoil the little guy rotten and turn him into even more of a divo) and this is a brief vacay from the day to day.  I do find it ironic that the whole 7 years I spent in Orlando, I never went to the theme parks unless I had to with a client and even then we never had time to explore – it was always soundcheck, perform and out the door.  Jen from One Curly Fry has kindly offered to be a Disney ambassador and school me on the ways of all things Disney.  I also have a dinner soiree at SL’s house – and that menu is killer – let’s just say some comfort food recipes from some of my fave chefs like Nigella, Laura Calder and Giada will be at the forefront (and coming up on Cooking in Stilettos).

So – while posting might be a tad erratic while I’m in Orlando – I will have lots in store for you when I return.  I may be stuck “Cooking in Sneakers” right now – but there’s going to be quite a few changes when I return along with fab recipes, great pics and so much more.
