Iron Chef Michael Symon To Visit Philly

It’s going to be quite the cookbook season here in Philly – we’ve got a plethora of chefs and cookbook signings that are scheduled for this fall and winter. My cookbook shelf is about to cave in if I’m not careful and I know a number of friends and family are already asking for signed cookbooks for holiday gifts.

One cookbook that has been on my radar for a while is Michael Symon’s Carnivore: 120 Recipes for Meat Lovers so when I heard that the Iron Chef and co-host of The Chew would be hitting town, you know I definitely had to put this on the calendar! Michael Symon will be signing copies of his latest cookbook at, where else, Williams Sonoma in King of Prussia on October 17, 2012 at 6 p.m.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Symon at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival some time ago and I can’t speak highly enough about him. His food is excellent, his culinary expertise is top-notch, he’s got quite the personality and he is as nice as can be. I also have to admit, it was the combo of him and Clinton Kelly along with the other hosts of The Chew that had me setting the DVR daily. That’s a big change from a gal who was a die-hard All My Children supporter. You know my rule – when I’m wrong, I say I’m wrong and I was totally wrong about The Chew – it is a pleasant addition to daytime tv. Plus – the man loves bacon! (I know Single Serving’s Chef Manouschka is swooning at those words right now).

So – I know what’s on my calendar for October 17th. Will I see you there?
