Sometimes, life does get in the way and, while I often just tend to let things go, some things just get under my skin and fester – to where I say enough is enough and I pull a “ostrich” and stick my head in the sand while hoping it all goes away much like Pam’s dream in that episode of Dallas where she wakes up and finds that the entire season of Bobby being dead was just a hell of a nightmare. However, one can’t go through life like that and I wasn’t being fair to me and, of course, to you.
The long and the short of it is – I was not happy. I’ve been going through so many changes in 2010 that my life could be deemed chaotic. This past week was one of reflection because when the same type of situation presents itself over and over again, I need to take note and pay attention. On the writing front, Cooking In Stilettos has grown to quite the readership and I am thankful for each and every one of you. I started this blog in March of 2008 on the suggestion of some dear friends who told me that if I really was getting into cooking so much, why not write about it. It’s hard to believe that it will have been three years this year and, of course, there have been so many changes and so many phenomenal people that I have gotten to meet both in real life and, of course, online.
2011 has so many fabulous things on the horizon so I have to remember that I really can’t let the pesky situations or gnats bother me and have to let the correct people handle the “maneuverings” so to speak. Hearing a control-freak such as moi say that is quite the change, huh? Cooking In Stilettos is not going anywhere – as a matter of fact, it’s growing by leaps and bounds so, if you see me starting to go back into a funk, feel free to email me and whap me upside the head. Trust me when I say I will always appreciate it. I have a fab group of people that work with me on the daily so I’m not sweatin’ the gnats in any way, shape or form.
And, with that being said, posting will resume normally on Monday and I promise I won’t retreat this badly again – pinky swear.
