Last Tuesday, the Barefoot Contessa was slated to not only visit the King of Prussia store to sign copies of her latest cookbook, Barefoot Contessa Foolproof: Recipes You Can Trust, to kick off her book tour, but also appear on the Today Show to spotlight some of her recipes from the book. My DVR and I almost got into a horrid row yesterday. As I was leaving for my "no you can't wear the stilettos yet" doctor's appointment, I caught a teaser on the Today Show that Colin Cowie was going to be on. I quickly rushed to the TV and set the DVR before I headed out the door. Happy Birthday Julia Child

Sometimes I think that my brain has escaped and my memory is just not quite there lately. Thankfully, Sur La Table reminded me that today is a day of celebration - Julia Child's birthday.
