Childhood hunger is a cause I feel strongly about. Did you know that 1 in 5 children in America face hunger every day? I was watching the news and had no idea that food pantries near me have cupboards that are running bare. With the economy and hard times, there has to be something that we can do to help.
Thankfully, Unilever, in partnership with Feeding America, is providing a million meals to those in need this holiday season and you can help just by joining the conversation on social media. Whenever you see the hashtag #ShareAMeal – whether it’s a tweet, retweet or a photo of an empty plate on Instagram or Twitter tagging #ShareAMeal, Unilever will donate a meal to Feeding America.
Another way you can help is by buying Unilever products like Hellmann’s, Knorr, Lipton or Dove using the in-store coupon found in Sunday’s November 15th paper or on Amazon Prime Pantry. If you do that, Unilever will donate one meal to Feeding America.
Over the course of their partnership with Feeding America, Unilever has been able to provide more than 30 million meals to those in need in just the last 5 years – that’s outstanding. This holiday season, we can all do our part to help reach that million meals goal – all it takes is a few seconds of your time.
