One thing I’ve learned about food blogging is there is so much deliciousness and so little time. It’s #IceCreamWeek on a bunch of my fave food bloggers’ sites so while I’m trying to resist the temptation to break out my trusty ice cream maker, I figured that I’d spread the love and spotlight some of the deliciousness I encountered perusing the interwebs this week.
Much like Susan from The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen, I have a thing for salty and sweet. So – when she made this Caramel Ice Cream with Peanut Butter Pretzel Brittle, I won’t deny that I was so tempted to hop on a train for NYC and bring SousPug for a playdate with her Superpug – and beg her to make this ice cream. Even the picture will have you salivating – go – hurry – get the recipe!
Now – besides a salty and sweet addiction, you know how I am about my coffee right? Well Shanna from Pineapple and Coconut has a panna cotta recipe that is to. die. for – Layered Espresso and Coconut Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta With Salted Espresso Caramel Sauce. Caramel, vanilla and espresso – boy is this gal in trouble.
OK – to balance out the sugar rush above, what about this Cherry Frozen Yogurt from Michelle of Taste as You Go. Especially with the plethora of cherries that are in the stores right now, you might want to give this recipe a whirl.
Wanna know what’s a tried and true in my household – Barb from Creative Culinary’s Spagetti Carbonara – so quick to whip up and beyond delish. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my fave Nigella version but this is sans vermouth and full of flavor. It’s already on the menu plan for next week too (or do I just have an addiction to pancetta – hmmm)
Speaking of pancetta / bacon – did you see the Chocolate Covered Candied Bacon that Kim from Cravings of a Lunatic did? My heavens – it reminds me of the chocolate bacon that one can find at the Jersey Shore in Wildwood.
