With my chaotic schedule, when it comes to my favorite Asian dish – Sesame Chicken – it often means takeout and, after taking a peek at how many times I have dialed for dinner or headed out this past year, clearly that needs to change in 2016. When P.F. Chang’s reached out to see my thoughts on P.F. Chang’s Home Menu for Wok Wednesday, I couldn’t resist.
I headed to my local grocer and P.F. Chang’s Home Menu was front and center in the freezer case. When I saw that they had Sesame Chicken, I had to give it a whirl. I also stocked up my freezer with P.F. Chang’s Mongolian Chicken and Beef & Broccoli as well as some of their delicious sides like their Chang’s Signature Rice and Chicken Mini Egg Rolls.
I love that P.F. Chang’s Home Menu is made with quality authentic Asian ingredients, quality cuts of chicken breast and beef, and everything is perfectly portioned for two. These dishes packed with flavor and dinner is essentially on the table in under 30 minutes. What’s not to love?
I whipped up P.F. Chang’s Sesame Chicken along with their Signature Rice and some Egg Rolls the other night and let me tell you – this was 10x better than my local takeout.
The sauce was flavorful with a bit of a kick, the broccoli was crisp and the chicken was tender. The rice was perfectly nutty and delicious, studded with bright carrots and peas and their mini egg rolls with a sassy sauce – heaven. Dinner couldn’t be easier to prepare. The rice came together quickly in the micro, the Sesame Chicken simmered on the stovetop and the egg rolls crisped up in the oven. The most effort I had to do was slice up some green onions and add a few sesame seeds to the finished dish and, as we eat with our eyes first, I plated it up nicely. Easy peasy.
Wouldn’t you want this for dinner tonight?
I think #WokWednesdays needs to be a must. Not only does it spice up the middle of the week, but with dinner this delicious from P.F Chang’s Home Menu, the local delivery service needs to lose my number. When it comes to takeout, I will be choosing P.F. Chang’s Home Menu from now on!
