I don't know about you, but I am ready to start a countdown for Spring's arrival. I mean, I love the winter and breaking out the slow cooker, but, quite frankly, this winter has been *ahem* interesting. 2013 is off to a roaring start and it's only January 4th. I have a good feeling about this year. One thing I don't have a good feelin' about is the flu season and I'm trying to outrun the Sniffle Monster before I get caught up in its vice grip. Sephora has their VIB sale, Saks had their Friends and Family sale last month and that other shopping mainstay from my youth, Bloomingdales, has their Friends and Family sale that is through the 12th of November. Apparently, if you listen to some of the news reports, there's a Category 1 Hurricane headed smack dab for Philly and it's time to panic. According to weather predictions, a major chill is supposed to hit Philly this weekend and it's going to be a bit frosty – well, until Sunday when its supposed to hit 70°. Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath because I'm starting to think predicting the weather is like predicting the lottery. I noticed that this weekend is the official Fall kickoff. Granted everything already feels like it somewhat – between the pumpkin spice lattes, the plethora of pumpkin and apple recipes, the cool night air – I thought fall was already here. So, we're two weeks into September and, guess what, the heat hasn't gotten the memo. Thankfully, at night, the weather has gotten a bit cooler and there's a nice breeze that is sweeping across the Philly area. It makes walking the SousPug easier at night because he's not panting like a madman and has been known to sit his pug butt down and chill a bit, especially when I'm chatting with some of the fellow dog owners at the apartment complex.
